Setup Guidelines

Set Up Guidelines for Schools Participating in the Virtual Event

  • Streaming Platform: The event will be streamed live via Vimeo for an ad-free experience.

  • Display Setup: Large screens are required to display the event so that each student can see clearly.

  • Student Devices: Each student should have access to a device (e.g., chromebook, laptop, or tablet).   Individual devices are not required for the Virtual Dance Party.

  • Interaction Tool: Students will use AhaSlides to submit their answers and engage with Ms. Rosie. No account is required for students to access AhaSlides (this doesn't apply to the Virtual Dance Party event).

  • Slide Access: Students will see each slide shown on the big screen on their individual devices to follow along easily (this doesn't apply to the Virtual Dance Party event).

  • Internet Service: Reliable and stable internet service is required for smooth participation.

Note:  If schools do not have a sufficient number of devices or lower internet capacity, students can be paired up to ensure everyone can participate. By sharing devices, students can still engage in the virtual event while collaborating and interacting together. This approach allows for a more inclusive experience, even with limited resources.

Family Game Night (Only)

  • Virtual Format: If schools choose to host a Family Game Night 100% virtual, families will play from home only, so large screens will not be needed.

  • Device Access: Families must have access to their own devices and reliable internet service to participate.

Dance Party (Only)

Please note that for a Dance Party, it is recommended to hold the event in a large space, such as a gym. The school should have access to a sound system, a large screen and/or projector, a laptop, and a stable internet connection. It is also recommended to set up chairs near the walls for resting, provide water stations to keep the kids hydrated, and have a first aid kit available. Additionally, sufficient faculty members should be present to assist and supervise the students. You may choose to obtain parental consent for participation prior to the dance event, as it involves physical activity.
